Hari Om,
Blessed Immortal Souls,
We
welcome all to come and join our Yoga courses which are offered
at our Delhi Center.
This is our humble effort to provide you with the opportunity
to indulge in some serious Yoga learning. Our effort in this
center is to maintain very high standards of teaching and
to create an atmosphere which can bring out the hidden potentials
in the participants. We firmly believe in what Swami Vivekananda
said “each soul is potentially Divine”.
We follow the teachings of great masters of Yoga; Swami Sivananda
of Rishikesh who established the Devine Life Society and his
main disciple Paramhamsa Swami Satyananda Saraswati, who established
the Bihar School of Yoga. BSY is famous for its own unique
style of Yoga which is a blend of all the main systems of
Yoga viz. Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Raja Yoga.
This system of Yoga is known as Integral
Yoga; originally conceptualized by the great master Swami
Sivananda and later on his disciple Swami Satyananda Saraswati
popularized it in a great manner. Today this style of Yoga
is known as Bihar Yoga or Satyananda Yoga.
Our aim at the center is to popularize the
teachings of our masters in the most honest way. We are offering
Residential Yoga Course at our center, which is two weeks
in duration. We try to introduce the basics of Yoga to our
participants who can prepare themselves for the higher teaching
of yoga at the main institution of Bihar Yoga Bharati.
If they are interested in further and deeper learning.
Our idea is to introduce the concept of an
Ashram and Gurukula to the participants. We follow the routine
of the Ashram and also make sure that the participants understand
the meaning and idea behind all the practices which are followed
during the course.
The teacher and students will live &
learn together, which was the traditional way of teachings
during the Vedic era of India. This was know as the Gurukula
meaning “House of the Master/Teacher”. So the
whole idea is to make sure that you learn in the most traditional
way gaining fully from the two weeks you will spend here
To maintain the exclusivity of the program
being offered, we do not take more than three students at
a time. This makes sure that you get most out of your time
which is spent here. There is a personalized attention form
the teacher and one can ask questions even beyond the scope
of the program.
We provide clean basic accommodation to our
participants. You will be served three vegetarian meals every
day during the program as per the schedule. Interested people
can also participate in the cooking which will be part of
the Karma Yoga training. The center
provides you with laundry facility as well.
There is internet facility available for the use of the student’s.
Phone and Fax is also there which you can use for receiving
phone calls and fax.
There is a well stocked collection of books on Yoga and spirituality
which is open for use by the students.
We will provide with books and CD’s
which will be the basic material used during the course. The
students will carry with them after the course is finished.
Please note that our effort is to be a bridge
between the Ashram and Gurukula style of teachings. Being
in the field of learning and teaching Yoga, we have experienced
that people form the west are not totally prepared to undergo
the rigors of an Ashram. Since the lifestyle in the west is
quite different form what one experience in an Ashram. Our
effort is to introduce the concept of Yoga, Ashram and Gurukula
in the most traditional way but, at the same time. Not imposing
any thing on the participants.
We do not recommend our course for the non-serious Yoga learners.
As we put our heart and soul to make available these teachings
for our participants. And we do expect that they come with
and open and receptive mind. So they can make the best out
of the courses being offered
